BIBLES SHAKESPEARE USED OR THAT WERE IMPORTANT
*Shakespeare would have read the popular Geneva Bible at home and heard the Bishops’ Bible in church. He would have been familiar with the Book of Common Prayer and perhaps also knew the Great Bible. The King James version of 1611 came along very late in his career, so he would not have used it in his final few plays.
